BLUE HOSE NOTES
- Presbyterian faced North Florida this past weekend in Jacksonville, dropping all three games.
- Amman Dewberry continued his hot start to the season at the plate, going 6-for-16 last week with five RBIs and two doubles in PC's four games. He had three hits on Saturday and two on Friday against the Ospreys.
- Andrew Albertus had his best two games of the season this weekend offensively, finishing a combined 4-for-7 on Saturday and Sunday. He scored four runs and posted three RBIs.
- Mikey Marroquin Jr. produced on the mound this week, pitching 4.0 innings in his two appearances. Against North Florida on Sunday, he gave up just two hits and one run while recording four strikeouts (just one short of his career-high).
- Christian Charalmabous leads the Blue Hose on the mound this season. He has thrown 14 innings and recorded 12 strikeouts to lead the team.
DEWBERRY DOING THINGS
Amman Dewberry has been one of the best hitters in the Big South to start the year, powering the PC offense in several categories. He is hitting .417 (5th in Big South) with 20 total hits and three home runs to lead Presbyterian. His 20 hits rank second in the Big South. He leads the conference in total bases this year with 34. He is also second in the league in RBIs with 18.
INCOMING TRANSFERS
Head coach Elton Pollock added eight transfers to this year's squad. James Green, Sammy Vander Hill, Caden Mason, Bauer Burkart, Emory Guilford, Ian Lindsay, Braiden Eagen, and Matthew Cannon are the new transfer additions for the Blue Hose.
NEW FRESHMAN
Nine freshmen join the Blue Hose this season. Domaine Vann, Bo Moody, Tucker Meredith, Jonathan Williams, Cole Morgan, Landon Nichols, Nathan Sofield, Jayden Adams, and Aidan Taylor join Coach Pollock's squad as incoming freshmen.
COACH POLLOCK
Head coach Elton Pollock enters his 22nd season at the helm of the Blue Hose. In 2025, Coach Pollock guided a young roster through one of the toughest non-conference schedules to date, earning a key win over No. 23 Alabama, halting their undefeated season.
SCOUTING THE COUGARS
- Since PC became a D1 program in 2008, Charleston has won both meetings with the Blue Hose. The Cougars won the most recent matchup in 2022 in Clinton 7-3.
- Charleston enters Tuesday's contest with a 4-7 record. The Cougars played two games this weekend in Greenville, defeating JMU 8-7 in 10 innings on Friday before falling to Illinois 5-0 on Saturday.
- The Cougars are averaging 4.1 runs per game, batting .244 at the plate with three home runs.
- Head coach Chad Holbrook is in his ninth season as the leader of Charleston baseball.

The Blue Hose campaign will feature 24 games at Elton Pollock Field at the PC Baseball Complex, highlighted by four series against Big South opponents UNC Asheville (March 13-15), Winthrop (April 10-12), Radford (April 24-26), and USC Upstate (May 8-10).
Presbyterian will take on three SEC opponents on the road during the season: Georgia (April 7), South Carolina (April 21), and Tennessee (May 5). The Blue Hose will also travel to face ACC foe Clemson on Feb. 24.
