BLUE HOSE NOTES
- Presbyterian faced The Citadel in the team's last outing on the road on Wednesday, falling 9-4 in Charleston.
- Jonathan Williams returned to the PC lineup and blasted his second home run of the season.
- Nick Smith homered as well, leaving the yard for the second time this year.
- Bo Moody continued his impressive stretch of play against the Bulldogs, going 2-for-3 with two doubles. In his last four games, he is 9-for-20 with five doubles.
- Moody was named Big South Freshman of the Week on Monday, earning PC's second weekly conference honor of the season. He leads the Blue Hose with a .337 batting average. He also leads the team in doubles with nine, ranking tied for fourth in the league.
- Emory Guilford brings a seven-game hit streak going into the weekend. He is tied with Amman Dewberry for the team home run lead with four.
- Cam Mallo went 3-for-3 against The Citadel on Wednesday. His three hits are a career-high. He has recorded a hit in six straight games.
- Moody, Dewberry, and Matthew Rollison are all hitting above .300 for PC.
- On the mound, Christian Charalambous leads the Blue Hose in innings pitched with 29. Tyrell Williams and Tristan McGregor have also exceeded the 20-inning mark for PC.
- McGregor powers the team in strikeouts this year with 26. Williams and Charalambous are right behind with 23 apiece.
DEWBERRY DOING THINGS
Amman Dewberry has been one of the best hitters in the Big South this season. He leads Presbyterian with 31 hits on the year, ranking tied for fifth in the league. He is ninth in the conference in RBIs with 23. He has recorded nine multi-hit games this season and leads the Blue Hose in slugging percentage.
COMPLETE GAME PITCHING
The Blue Hose threw back-to-back complete games in PC's first conference series of the year against UNC Asheville. On March 14, Christian Charalambous threw a complete game shutout, going all nine innings. He allowed just four hits and struck out seven. His complete game shutout is the first PC complete game shutout since Brian Kehner on March 17, 2017 against Army. Tristan McGregor followed with PC's second complete game in as many days on March 15, pitching all seven innings while punching out 11 (both career-highs).
INCOMING TRANSFERS
Head coach Elton Pollock added eight transfers to this year's squad. James Green, Sammy Vander Hill, Caden Mason, Bauer Burkart, Emory Guilford, Ian Lindsay, Braiden Eagen, and Matthew Cannon are the new transfer additions for the Blue Hose.
NEW FRESHMAN
Nine freshmen join the Blue Hose this season. Domaine Vann, Bo Moody, Tucker Meredith, Jonathan Williams, Cole Morgan, Landon Nichols, Nathan Sofield, Jayden Adams, and Aidan Taylor join Coach Pollock's squad as incoming freshmen.
COACH POLLOCK
Head coach Elton Pollock enters his 22nd season at the helm of the Blue Hose. In 2025, Coach Pollock guided a young roster through one of the toughest non-conference schedules to date, earning a key win over No. 23 Alabama, halting their undefeated season.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
- This will be the first ever meeting between the two teams.
- Samford comes into the weekend with a 10-13 overall record. The Bulldogs picked up a 7-2 midweek win at Troy on Tuesday. Samford opened SoCon play last weekend, dropping two of three at Western Carolina.
- Jake Souders powers the Samford offense. He ranks third in the SoCon with a .417 batting average. As a team, Samford is hitting .278 and has hit 31 home runs. On the mound, the Bulldogs have a 7.12 ERA.
- Head coach Tony David leads the Bulldogs in his fifth season.
2026 SCHEDULE BREAKDOWN

The Blue Hose campaign will feature 24 games at Elton Pollock Field at the PC Baseball Complex, highlighted by four series against Big South opponents UNC Asheville (March 13-15), Winthrop (April 10-12), Radford (April 24-26), and USC Upstate (May 8-10).
Presbyterian will take on three SEC opponents on the road during the season: Georgia (April 7), South Carolina (April 21), and Tennessee (May 5). The Blue Hose will also travel to face ACC foe Clemson on Feb. 24. Georgia, Tennessee, and Clemson are all ranked in the top 20 of the first edition of this season's D1Baseball Top 25.
