DEWBERRY DOING THINGS
Amman Dewberry has had a very productive start to the season, ranking as one of the best hitters in the Big South. He ranks second in the league in hits (20) and eighth in batting average (.385). He is also second in total bases with 37 and tied for second in RBIs with 18. Finally, he rests in the top 10 of the conference in home runs (3) and slugging percentage (.654).

INCOMING TRANSFERS
Head coach Elton Pollock added eight transfers to this year's squad. James Green, Sammy Vander Hill, Caden Mason, Bauer Burkart, Emory Guilford, Ian Lindsay, Braiden Eagen, and Matthew Cannon are the new transfer additions for the Blue Hose.

NEW FRESHMAN
Nine freshmen join the Blue Hose this season. Domaine Vann, Bo Moody, Tucker Meredith, Jonathan Williams, Cole Morgan, Landon Nichols, Nathan Sofield, Jayden Adams, and Aidan Taylor join Coach Pollock's squad as incoming freshmen.

COACH POLLOCK
Head coach Elton Pollock enters his 22nd season at the helm of the Blue Hose. In 2025, Coach Pollock guided a young roster through one of the toughest non-conference schedules to date, earning a key win over No. 23 Alabama, halting their undefeated season.

SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS
- Since PC became a D1 program in 2008, Appalachian State has won all three of the previous meetings with the Blue Hose. The two played two games in 2010 and most recently one in Boone in 2011.

- The Mountaineers come into the weekend with a 7-5 record. App State started the year 7-1 but has dropped four straight. The Mountaineers suffered a narrow 9-8 loss on Wednesday in Boone against No. 15 Wake Forest.

- The Mountaineers rank fourth in the Sun Belt in runs with 98 on the season. The team boasts a .280 batting average and has hit 13 home runs this year.

- Kermit Smith leads App State in his 10th season as head coach.
