Wofford scored twice in the first inning and added a run in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings to secure the 5-1 win over the Presbyterian College Blue Hose in baseball action this afternoon at King Field in Spartanburg, S.C.
PC dropped its second in a row to fall to 4-2, while Wofford improved to 5-1.
The Blue Hose cut into a then 2-0 Wofford lead in the third inning when Andrew Williams (Augusta, Ga.) tripled down the right field line and came home off a sacrifice fly from Brad Zebedis (Rock Hill, S.C.).
While Wofford tacked on a run in the sixth, seventh and eight innings to take the score up to 5-1, PC threatened on several occasions but could not break through again.

Mac Doyle paced Wofford, going two-for-three with two RBI, while Matt Moore was three-for-four with one run scored.
