CLINTON, S.C. – After the Presbyterian College women's basketball team's two wins last week over UNC Wilmington (64-51) and Morehead State (65-59), sophomore guard Ashley Carrillo has been chosen as the Adidas / Game One PC Student-Athlete of the Week.
 
After starting in six games so far for the Blue Hose, Carrillo has helped the team win four-games already this season.
 
Over the Blue Hose's first seven games, this Liberal, Kansas native has averaged 5.9 points per game, a 48.6 (18-of-37) shooting percentage from the field, a 36.4 (4-of-11) three-point percentage, and 2.9 rebounds per game.
 
On Wednesday, November 22 Presbyterian beat UNC Wilmington 64-51 on the road. In this game Carrillo shot at 75% (3-of-4) from the field, while recording six points, two steals, and two assists.
 
On Saturday, November 25 the Blue Hose beat Morehead State in their closest game of the season in Templeton Center. Carrillo scored six points after shooting a perfect 2-of-2 from outside the arc. One of Carrillo's three-pointers was a buzzer beater to end the first half. She also totaled two assists, two rebounds, and a steal.


 
The Presbyterian College athletic department partnered with Game One on a multi-year apparel agreement last November as an official team dealer for Adidas. The partnership extended the university's alliance with Adidas which began in 2015 to outfit the Blue Hose athletic programs.
