CLINTON, S.C. – Junior Jonah Pierce of the Presbyterian College men's basketball team has been selected as this week's Adidas / Game One PC Student-Athlete of the Week. Last week, Pierce averaged 15 points while shooting 68.4 percent from the field in Presbyterian's two games.
 
The Sanford, Florida native scored 19 points while shooting 9-for-12 from the field to go along with four rebounds in helping the Blue Hose erase a 19-point second-half deficit at Elon last Monday. He scored a layup with three seconds on the clock tying the score at 79. Then, he scored 11 points (shooting 4-for-7 from the field) while grabbing six rebounds in Presbyterian's 75-71 win at VMI on Saturday.

This season, Pierce averages 10.1 points and a team-leading 5.9 rebounds per game helping the Blue Hose begin the season with six wins over their first nine games.

The Presbyterian College athletic department partnered with Game One on a multi-year apparel agreement last November as an official team dealer for Adidas. The partnership extended the university's alliance with Adidas which began in 2015 to outfit the Blue Hose athletic programs.
