CLINTON, S.C. – Sophomore Claire Giddings of the Presbyterian College Blue Hose women's tennis team has been selected as this week's Adidas / Game One PC Student-Athlete of the Week. Last week, Giddings helped Presbyterian go 3-0 with two singles victories and two wins in doubles.
 
After a season ending injury last year the Milton, Georgia native was not able to compete for the Blue Hose last Spring. She is back and better than ever this year and proved that on the court last weekend.
 
In PC's first win against the Belmont Abbey Crusaders, Giddings competed at the No. 5 singles spot where she defeated Lily Aranyos 6-0, 6-2.
 
In the second match against the Crusaders, Giddings helped secure a 7-0 sweep with a 6-2 doubles victory at the No. 3 spot with D'Estree Colalancia as her duo against BAC's Kaitlin Nguyen and Daniella Galeano. She won another point for Presbyterian with a singles win at the No. 5 position against Belmont Abbey's Rebekka Collyer 7-5, 6-1.
 
Giddings closed out the week with a 6-4 doubles victory at the No. 3 spot once again pairing with Colalancia against BAC's Naomi Sakakibara and Kyla Steyn.
 
 
 
The Presbyterian College athletic department partnered with Game One on a multi-year apparel agreement last November as an official team dealer for Adidas. The partnership extended the university's alliance with Adidas which began in 2015 to outfit the Blue Hose athletic programs.
 
Game One is among the largest and fastest-growing sports equipment and apparel suppliers in the country, serving a loyal customer base of 13,000 schools and organizations in 38 states.
