CLINTON, S.C. – One of the most exciting first-year players in America and the Presbyterian College lacrosse leader in total points this season, freshman attacker Emily Currie has been named the Adidas / Game One PC Student-Athlete of the Week.

Already in possession of the Blue Hose single-game goal record (seven in a win over Delaware State), Currie hit the back of the net eight times this week and added four more assists during matches with FDU, Merrimack, and Kennesaw State.

Hailing from Maryland, the rookie also won 10 draw controls in those affairs including a season-high five against Merrimack.

Fifteen of Currie's seventeen attempts landed on-goal (88 percent) as Presbyterian rounded out the non-conference schedule, totaling 28 points at this stage of the season (second on the roster in both goals and assists).





CURRIE = CAPTIVATING
 
- In only nine matchups on the '25 campaign, Currie has collected 23 goals. That's the fifth-highest number of any freshman in the nation, earning a spot in the starting lineup early on and aiding PC to three victories currently.

- Sixty percent of her shot tries end up with a successful goal, a ratio that tops all players in the Big South (regardless of class) and ranks 19^th in NCAA.

- Altogether, she has guided 32 of her 38 shots on-line with the goal (going three-of-five in free position opportunities). She has won 10 of her 17 draws in the past week, setting up the Blue Hose for their Big South opener versus High Point next Wednesday.


 
GAME ONE
 
- The Presbyterian College athletic department partnered with Game One on a multi-year apparel agreement in November 2022 as an official team dealer for Adidas. The partnership extended the university's alliance with Adidas, which began in 2015 to outfit the Blue Hose athletic programs.

- Game One is among the country's largest and fastest-growing sports equipment and apparel suppliers, serving a loyal customer base of 13,000 schools and organizations in 38 states.
