CLINTON, S.C. – Serving up perhaps her best six-game stretch in a Presbyterian uniform that included a 12-of-18 hitting ratio, senior Kendall Owens of the Presbyterian College softball team has been named the Adidas / Game One PC Student-Athlete of the Week.

Owens was virtually an impossible out against Western Carolina, Norfolk State, Boston University, and Queens, batting .667 along with seven RBI and five extra-base knocks.

Aiding the Blue Hose to a three-game winning streak and a third-place spot in the latest Big South standings, Owens slugged over 1,000 last week thanks to four doubles and her third home run of 2025.

A native of Virginia and spending her last three years under the watch of head coach David Williams after transferring in from Mercer, Owens tied for the most hits of anyone in NCAA Softball last week while also committing zero errors with 23 putouts.




 
SIZZLING IN MARCH
 
- Since the schedule turned to the month of March, Owens has consistently been Presbyterian's fiercest hitter. She's batted well over .600 in her last nine appearances (16-for-24), collecting 10 of her 13 RBI on the season during this scorching sequence.

- Kendall approaches a Tuesday meeting with South Dakota on a seven-game hit streak, squaring up a double in four consecutive games last week and notching a .684 on-base percentage.

- Five of her six outings in the past seven days resulted in Owens producing at least two hits, now with 26 on the year which ranks second in Presby's order.

- Over the entire campaign, she has calculated an OPS of 1.216: second only to USC Upstate's Sophia Kardatzke for the highest number in the conference.

- Additionally, Owens has tied for the most walks of anyone in the seven-team league (13), topping the Blue Hose with 45 total bases since the season began.


 
GAME ONE
 
- The Presbyterian College athletic department partnered with Game One on a multi-year apparel agreement in November 2022 as an official team dealer for Adidas. The partnership extended the university's alliance with Adidas, which began in 2015 to outfit the Blue Hose athletic programs.

- Game One is among the country's largest and fastest-growing sports equipment and apparel suppliers, serving a loyal customer base of 13,000 schools and organizations in 38 states.
