CLINTON, S.C. – Senior pitcher
Charlie McDaniel of the Presbyterian College Blue Hose baseball team has been selected as this week's Adidas / Game One PC Student Athlete of the Week. McDaniel's outstanding performance last week was instrumental in leading the Blue Hose to a decisive 8-4 victory over the Radford Highlanders, securing a crucial conference series win.
On Saturday, McDaniel showcased his pitching prowess with an impressive seven innings of work. Hailing from Sanford, Florida, McDaniel's performance was nothing short of stellar as he delivered three strikeouts while keeping opponents to just six hits and three earned runs. This outstanding display of skill and resilience not only contributed significantly to his team's success but also earned McDaniel his well-deserved fifth win of the season.

Â
McDaniel's performance this season has been nothing short of exceptional. In his eight appearances on the mound, he has showcased his prowess with a total of 49.1 innings pitched. Maintaining a perfect 5-0 record, McDaniel has demonstrated his ability to consistently deliver under pressure.
Â
One of McDaniel's standout attributes is his impressive strikeout rate, totaling 52 strikeouts so far.
Â
Equally impressive is McDaniel's efficiency in limiting hits and earned runs. He has allowed only 36 hits and 10 earned runs, showcasing his ability to shut down opposing offenses effectively.
Â
What truly sets McDaniel apart is his ability to stifle batters, holding them to a mere .202 batting average.
